Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic Medicine is a comprehensive, holistic approach to wellness-focused health care.  Rather that treating and masking symptoms, naturopathic doctors follow six core principles that help them to guide each individual on their unique path towards better health. These principles are to 1. First do no harm, 2. Prevent disease before it starts, 3. Treat the whole person, 4. Find and treat the root cause of disease, 5. Follow the healing power of nature, and 6. Provide invaluable education and motivation to patients so that they can become their own greatest advocate for health and wellbeing.

After obtaining a thorough health history and diagnostic evaluation, naturopathic doctors work with their patients to help them to establish the foundations for health and to remove any obstacles that are present and preventing them from achieving their health-related goals. Naturopathic interventions may include nutritional and lifestyle counseling with education around affected systems, vitamin and herbal recommendations to support the healing process, physical medicine for structural support, and pharmaceutical intervention when absolutely necessary.
